Senior Busiess Analyst
Task:
- Scope Definition and Analysis:
- Work with stakeholders to define and document project scope, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and team goals.
- Break down high-level business requirements into actionable deliverables, always prioritizing clarity and team collaboration.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and priorities early in the project lifecycle to set your team up for success.
- Business Analysis and Consulting:
- Act as a facilitator between business and technical teams, ensuring all parties have a shared understanding of requirements and objectives.
- Provide insights and recommendations on system improvements, workflows, and best practices that enhance trading, risk management, and reporting capabilities.
- Foster a consultative environment, where solutions are co-created with the team and stakeholders.
- Team and Stakeholder Representation:
- Represent the project team and the company in Steering Committee meetings and other executive-level discussions, providing well-rounded updates and recommendations.
- Ensure that your contributions reflect the collective insights of the team, promoting a unified and professional image.
- Act as an advocate for the team’s work, while maintaining transparency and fostering trust with stakeholders.
- Domain Expertise:
- Leverage your deep understanding of trading and risk management to guide the team through domain-specific challenges.
- Contribute to designing effective reporting solutions that align with business needs.
- Use your familiarity with energy trading/markets as an additional value to enhance discussions and solutions.
- Project Coordination:
- Work closely with project managers and technical leads to support delivery planning and manage scope changes collaboratively.
- Mentor junior analysts or oversee small project teams when needed, ensuring that everyone contributes effectively to the project’s success.
Expectation:
- 8+ years as a Business Analyst or Consultant in IT projects, with strong expertise in trading, risk management, and reporting systems.
- A proven track record of working collaboratively within teams and representing them at the executive level.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to document and translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
- Strong relationship management skills, ensuring that team and stakeholder interactions are professional and productive.
- Fluency in English is required; French is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with IT project methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and consulting approaches.
- Expertise in trading and risk management is essential.
- Experience in energy trading and markets is a strong plus but not mandatory.
- Experience in transformation projects is an advantage.
- Experience coordinating work across a team, mentoring junior analysts, or managing small project teams is highly valued.
