Business Developer – Marketplace

Task:

  • Partner Recruitment & Development
  • Identify and engage potential sellers through structured prospecting and pipeline management
  • Conduct qualification meetings using a maturity checklist to evaluate seller capabilities, including logistics and customer service
  • Present commercial frameworks, including contracts, commission structures, and SLAs, while encouraging international expansion when applicable
  • Collaborate with sellers to define their product offerings and develop strategies for a successful marketplace launch
  • Portfolio Growth & Market Analysis
  • Build and maintain a strategic portfolio of sellers, both locally and internationally
  • Analyze Decathlon’s market position and product assortment, identifying opportunities for expansion
  • Support the development and execution of recruitment strategies for marketplace sellers across multiple sports categories

Expectation:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strategic thinking and adaptability to dynamic environments
  • Proficiency in market analysis, CRM tools, negotiation, and sales techniques
  • Fluency in Hungarian and English; additional European languages are an advantage
  • Familiarity with marketplace operations, ideally using the Mirakl platform
  • A market-focused, customer-first approach
